Mega boxes sit between blaster and hobby: a retail configuration with more packs and, more importantly, parallel treatments printed exclusively for that channel. For a Burrow collector the interesting part is not the box, it is the parallel ladder — knowing which cut came from a mega, which from a blaster and which from hobby is what separates a common Silver from a genuinely scarce colour.

Retail-exclusive parallels are a real scarcity axis, not marketing. The same base rookie exists as a hobby cut and a retail cut with different treatments — the listing title alone rarely tells you which.
Chrome sets carry the deepest ladders. Prizm, Optic, Mosaic and Select all stack an unnumbered shiny base cut, then colour families, then serial-numbered cuts, then a one-of-one at the top.
Buying a numbered parallel from a listing photo is safer than chasing one from a box. The serial is on the card, so it is verifiable before you pay.
